A41 Tring to Hemel Hempstead Regeneration
Background
THB was appointed to deliver a major highway regeneration scheme along the A41 corridor between Tring and Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. This strategically important route required comprehensive resurfacing and road marking improvements to enhance safety, durability and overall network performance.
The project was delivered over a 4 week programme with a contract value exceeding £1 million, reinforcing THB’s capability to manage high value, time critical highway schemes.

Works Delivered
THB carried out a full range of surfacing and road marking works, including:
- Plane and patch surfacing
- HRA surfacing and chip application
- Siding out
- Rib line knock-off and sweep
- Rib line installation
- Overbanding crack infill
- Thermoplastic line marking, including centre lines and edge lines
- Stud removal and new stud installation
- Full traffic management provision
Outcomes
The project was delivered exactly to plan, on time and within budget. All works were completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, resulting in a significantly improved road surface and clear, durable road markings along the A41 corridor.
